Several thousand people are meeting in Ottawa from August 21 to 24 for the Peoples’ Social Forum.
It is an ambitious gathering of those wishing to change the world. From labour activists, to environmentalists and Indigenous activists, from students to seniors. With several hundred workshops and assemblies, the PSF Program, you will inevitably come across many meetings you will want to attend.
RankandFile.ca will be at the PSF covering many of the labour-related workshops, as well as hosting our own workshop and a party. You will be able to follow our coverage on Twitter and Facebook. You can always contact us by email: email@example.com. We are also looking for volunteers to help with tabling, making contacts for interviews, and helping out with other random tasks.

The Glue Pot Pub, 340 Queen St. W
The following are being promoted because of RankandFile.ca participation or because we have agreed to requests to endorse and promote them. The first meeting below could be incredibly important in transforming the loose network built around Hassan Husseini’s presidential bid for Canadian Labour Congress, into something more organized and coordinated. RankandFile.ca supports and will be covering.
The second meeting is an important one for workplace and environmental safety. One of the speakers is Roger Annis, a RankandFile.ca editor.
The third is a meeting organized by an Ottawa-based rank-and-file organization of federal public service workers in PSAC, CAPE and PIPSC. The Public Sector Caucus is associated with the Ottawa group Solidarity Against Austerity.
